Their are many cameras that are on the market and many new ones coming out everyday. Each Manufacturer has their own way of saving videos. Motionpro will play most videos, but if your video does not play, you may simply need a Free codec. A Codec lets programs like MotionPro!, play your video. Here are a list of possible Codecs your may need: Your video has the extension .MOV, MPEG4, 3PG, or .MTS Your video has the extension MPEG2 OR .MOD Your video has the extension AVI, and is a DIVX video. Your video has the extension .MOD You have recorded the video on a DVD or just a normal DVD (.VOB Extension) I don't see my video type, or the other codecs did not work. YOU CAN ALSO CONVERT YOUR VIDEO TO AVI USING THE FOLLOWING FREE PROGRAM: Koyote Video Convert
Go to the website below and install the free Video Converter.
To USE:
1-Click on Add Files
2=Select your file.
3-Change output format to AVI
4- DV Digital Video
5-Click on Convert Video
If your video is a .MOV, MPEG4, .3PG or .MTS you may need the following: You need to install 2 things. The Haali Media Splitter and the FFDShow to run this files in MotionPro! or Windows Media Player. Install Haali Media Splitter You can get it directly from our website below: http://www.motionprosoftware.com/MatroskaSplitter.exe
Download the FFDshow from our website, it must be the 4/5/2008 version to work. http://www.motionprosoftware.com/ffdshow.exe Unzip, Install FFDShow
Use the defaults and make sure under "Management of Compatibility issues" make sure Do not limit is selected. IF YOUR VIDEO IS MPEG2 Or has .MOD If you video is Mpeg2, if you are not sure check your camera manual for what type of video your camera produces. You just need to download the free DIVX codec from www.divx.com Just install the Codec, you don't need the player. If a normal AVI video doesn't play in MotionPro!, then you may have a codec on your machine that is interferring with MotionPro! Email us at support@motionprosoftware.com. Your video has the extension .MOD Most .MOD videos are Mpeg2. Install the following Mpeg2 codec. You have recorded the video on a DVD or just a normal DVD. Most DVD videos are Mpeg2. Install the following Mpeg2 codec. The videos are under the sub directory with the extension .VOB. Install the following mpeg2 codec.
