Firewire lets you connect your Firewire capable camera
directly to your computer through the DV port.
Connection on your computer!
If you don't have a Firewire Port, or you want to hook two
cameras to your computer you need a Firewire card described below:
The cards below plugs into
your expansion slot of your laptop. Older laptops have PCMCIA Slots, while
newer laptops have an Express slot.

NOTE: Most firewire cards have more then one port, but only one camera can
be connected to your card, due to the limitation of the cards. You would
need a built in port on your laptop, and one of the cards above to use two
cameras at the same time. |
